Bessie Steacy was born June 1906 the daughter of Evan Steacy and Letta Scott. She was the sister of Recca. She married Jack Fraser who was a very successful farmer in the Toronto area. Legend has it that the Bessie the Cow advertising icon in the 50s was named after her. Her children were first cousins of Pauline and played a role in her youth.
