Walter T Henson was born 1853 in England and was one of the 8 children of Thomas Henson and Martha Fear. He was the first Henson to come to Canada, with his brother Aubrey arriving later. He was in Brockville
in the early 1880s and his daughter Edith was born in Ontario in 1883.
Harold was born in Winnipeg in 1891, while Walter was running a store. He also had a son Thomas, who died at a young age during a flu epidemic that swept the world. He settled in Lethbridge and opened up a General Store, and shows up in the 1901 census. Walter T Henson died in 1906. He married Eliza Thetford 1864-1957, who was his widow for fifty years. During this time, she frequently travelled, including trips to Washington State to visit a sister of hers. She kept the home in Lethbridge until her death, even during the time that she was in a nursing home. They are both buried in the Mountainview cematery along with their son Thomas.
