A son of Captain Billy Earl and Margaret Taylor. He was born in 1829 and died in 1908. He was married to Marilla Jane Bockus (1837 – 1926). Their children were:

- Lillian Marilla Earl – married to Joseph Heaslip
- Eunice Earl – married to Reece Webster
- Margaret Earl – married to Joseph DeWolfe
- William Earl – married to Daisy Hunt
