John Merriman was a first cousin of Walter. Although they were very different they shared a life long friendship based on mutual admiration and respect. John’s life journey would likely fill a web site in of itself with the many different phases of his life. Walter also felt a sincere affinity with John’s life partner Hope, who was very photogenic. He was survived by 4 children, and approximately 16 great and great-great grandchildren.
